Cheticamp woman dies in Pictou County crash

A Cheticamp woman is dead after a crash in Pictou County.

It happened Thursday afternoon in Salt Springs, as RCMP found an overturned vehicle in the river under Highway 104.

Two people were inside, the 73-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 75-year-old man suffered life threatening injuries, and was airlifted to hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage are urged to contact Pictou County District RCMP.
