Dartmouth: Random stabbing launches police investigation

A 29-year-old man is recovering after randomly being stabbed in Dartmouth.

Police found him on the ground on Ranya Lane early Saturday morning and taken to hospital.

He is expected to recover and his injuries are described as “non life-threatening”.

The man describes the attack as being unprovoked as he was walking on the sidewalk and was stabbed from behind.

“While he did not see who stabbed him, he does describe seeing a man after the attack with a goatee and black hoodie with a yellow stripe. Police would like to speak to that man.” stated HRP in a media release.

Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.

Police are also looking for anyone who may have video or dashcam footage from the Nantucket bus terminal, Wyse Road, Boland Road and Rayna Lane between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m..
