Tuesday is a big night for a dance group in Halifax.
Studio 26 Dance Company is auditioning on Canada’s Got Talent.
When our newsroom spoke with representative of the group Alyssa Thomas, she told us the kids had been working hard over the past couple of years to get to this point.
“It was such a fun opportunity to showcase what the kids have been working on. They’ve been really working hard over the last couple years and growing a lot in their dancing but also uniting as a team. So, we just thought what a great way to showcase that to the rest of Canada.”
The dancer’s range in age from six to 18 and are from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to the dance group, also representing the Maritimes was singer Dee Dee Austin.
She is from Nova Scotia as well as Prince Edward Island and made it through with the golden buzzer last month with an original song, Buried Truth.
It sent her to the next round and awarded her $25,000.
Studio 26 Dance Company will have a viewing party at the Eastern Passage Rec Centre at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday April 8, to celebrate.
