Homicide of man, 23, added to N.S. major unsolved crimes program

The homicide of a 23-year-old man from Truro is now part of the province’s major unsolved crimes program, which offers a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest or conviction.

Zachery Vaughan Kellock was reported missing January 16, 2024, at an address on Millbrook First Nation.

Investigators believe that his disappearance was criminal in nature, however, they have not found his body or laid any charges.

“Someone may have the missing piece that investigators need,” says Becky Druhan, Minister of Justice.

RCMP say it was January 14, 2024, when Kellock left his Truro home in a vehicle with two other people.

Two days later he still had not returned home and officers learned he was last seen on Millbrook First Nation.

At the time of his disappearance, Kellock was described as 5’10, 159 lbs, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark grey leather jacket.
