The final Canada Carbon rebate payment arrives on Tuesday.

Those who filed their 2024 income taxes electronically by April 2 will see the funds automatically deposited, or a cheque will arrive in the mail..

If you haven’t filed your taxes yet,  or if your taxes haven’t been assessed by the Canada Revenue Agency, you’ll have to wait.

If you’re eligible, money will be deposited or mailed out once that happens.

The carbon tax on fuel was set at zero as of April 1.
