A shooting in Dartmouth is being treated as a homicide by Halifax Regional Police.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots on Ancona Place around 9 p.m. Monday.

They arrived to find a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“This matter is in the early stages of the investigation and limited details are available at this time,” police said in a social media post on Monday evening.
